My name is Crystal Carter, I am very excited to be your child's PreK teacher this year. This is my fourth year at Hilburn Academy.
I grew up in Williamston, North Carolina where I met my husband of 13 years. We have three children who have all attended Hilburn as well. My oldest daughter Aniya, is in the seventh grade. My girl boy/twins, Diara and David, are in the fourth grade.
I have over 13 years teaching in the early childhood field and have my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood and my Masters degree in Education. In my spare time I love watching movies on Netflix, attending my children’s sports and dance classes, shopping and traveling.I am Betsy Perkinson and I have lived in Raleigh with my husband, Eric, for 15 years. We have 2 daughters, 14 and 12 who attend Leesville High and Middle School.
I have an Elementary Education degree from The College of Charleston. Before having children I taught elementary school for 7 years. After staying home with them for 7 years, I taught preschool and worked in WCPSS as a Kindergarten TA. I am so excited to be joining Ms. Carter and your children in Pre-K this year!
When I am not working or driving my girls around, I enjoy cooking, running, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers and Carolina Panthers!
